Shortly before the arrest, Shoplygin told the agency: "The French authorities informed me that I was not deported, but only expelled. My Schengen visa is not canceled, and all the necessary seals in it are. So I can legally stay in the European Union."

At the same time, on his Twitter, the functionary noted : "To be on the game, I had to make a slightly unusual path under cover of night and become a tourist for a while."

Meanwhile, the Moscow Komsomolets later reported that Russia devastatedly lost to Wales with a score of 0: 3. Thus, the Russian team did not go through the group stage of the championship and is now dropping out of the competition.

Shoplygin was detained on June 14, along with 42 other Russian fans on the bus, who went to Lill for the match Russia -Slovakia. In relation to 20 detainees, including Shpping, the authorities decided to expel from France. It was made on Saturday.

Three of the detainees together with Shoplygin on the bus - Alexey Nekunov, Sergey Gorbachev and Nikolai Morozov - were sentenced to two, and a half and one year of prison, respectively, for participation in fights in Marseille before the Russian -England match.
