The defendant of the case of "Oboronservice" was released by parole

The Sudogodsky court of the Vladimir region probationly freed the defendant of the case of Oboronservis Irina Egorov. According to RIA Novosti, this was announced by lawyer Yuri Gervis.

"The court granted our application for parole, despite the objections of the colony," the defender said. He recalled that the colony administration gave Egorova a positive characteristic, but opposed her parole.

“The court decision will not be executed today, it is necessary to wait for the ten -day period established by the law for appeal,” Gervis said.

The criminal case of the Oboronservis, the key showant of which was the ex-official of the Ministry of Defense Evgeny Vasiliev, was instituted in 2012 after the disclosure of a large-scale scheme of theft in the department. According to the investigation, accomplices, headed by Vasilyeva through the structures of Oboronservis and a number of private firms sold objects of the Ministry of Defense at low prices, thus stolen about three billion rubles. Sales were carried out as part of the reform of the Ministry of Defense, designed to save the department from unnecessary property and unnecessary functions.

Irina Egorova headed LLC Priority. The investigation considered it the "treasurer" of Evgenia Vasilyeva and other defendants in the case.

On May 8, 2015, the court sentenced Vasiliev to five years in prison . However, already in August, she was released by parole .
