President Vladimir Putin will pay an official visit to China on June 25 at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, TASS reported, citing the Kremlin press service. It is expected that "the leaders of the two countries will discuss specific steps to further develop the Russian-Chinese comprehensive, equal, trusting partnership and cooperation in trade, economic, investment, scientific, technical and humanitarian areas," the agency cites.

They can also discuss “key issues on the international agenda, interaction within the framework of multilateral and regional organizations, primarily the UN, BRICS, the Group of Twenty, as well as the implementation of agreements that will be reached the day before during the SCO summit in Tashkent (June 23-24 this year).”

Several bilateral documents are being prepared for signing.

During the visit, a memorandum on the construction of a grain terminal in the Zabaikalsky Krai and a large-scale contract for the supply of wheat to China may be signed, said Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin. As reported by TASS, he said this after a meeting of the Russian-Chinese intergovernmental commission on the preparation of regular meetings of the heads of government. "The agricultural project involves the construction of a grain terminal, and in the future, a whole series of elevators, the equipment for which could be supplied by the Chinese side, they will be located on the territory of the Russian Federation, and we, for our part, will steadily supply grain, mainly harvested in the Siberian region," he noted.

Following the signing of the memorandum, a "contract for such serious, large-scale deliveries of wheat to China" should be signed, the official added. He explained that this is a "significant project for the Siberian region, which is connected not only with the supply of raw materials in the form of grain, but also with its deep processing and the creation of an extensive railway infrastructure and infrastructure for processing grain products in the Russian Federation." "The volume here, accordingly, will depend on China's needs, but we know that they are large, just as China itself is large," he summed up.

Russia and China also plan to sign an agreement on the protection of intellectual property in the field of rocket and space technologies. China is interested in purchasing Russian RD-180 engines, and Russia is interested in supplies of Chinese micro-electronics for space applications. Rogozin noted that "the pragmatic Americans, being the initiators of sanctions, continue to purchase this engine because they simply do not have such an engine.
