© Goethe-Institut Frame from the movie "Under the Snow"From June 24 to 29, in the Cinema Oktyabr, as part of the 38th Moscow International Film Festival (MMKF), Goethe-Institute in Moscow will present a retrospective Ulrika Plotinger-an artist, photographer, director, one of the most unusual cinema of Germany and a jury of the current festival.
In the program of retrospectives along with the film “Portrait of a drunkard. One -way ticket ”( Bildnis Einer Trinkerin , 1979) and other classic paintings included later films, such as“ under the snow ”(Unter Schnee , 2011).
The main event of a special program will be the Russian premiere of the film " Shamissos SChatten ), the latest work by Ulrika Plotinger , completed in 2016. The film takes place in Kamchatka and Chukotka.

On June 25 at 15:00 in the State Gallery on the Solyanka, a specialist in the work of Ulrika Otanger and a professor of aesthetics of the Braunschweig Arts Institute Katarina Sikora will give a lecture “On the method of image in the films of Ulrika Pinstinger”.
