Oleg Mokryakov was taken to the Zamoskvorechye police station for document verification

Street musician Oleg Mokryakov, who was detained near the Novokuznetskaya metro station, told OVD-Info by phone that he had been taken to the Zamoskovorechye police station.

According to him, he was detained due to the fact that he asked to introduce himself to a police officer who sprayed a pregnant woman in the face with a pepper spray. The woman stood on the lawn, where doctors were assisting her friend, who became ill. A police officer approached her, to which she replied that she "lives in a free country." After that, he used a means of self-defense. Mokryakov decided to find out the identity of the employee, but he demanded to introduce himself and show the documents of Mokryakov himself, and then ordered another policeman to detain the musician.

Police say they detained Mokryakov for identification purposes.
