Roskomnadzor unblocked Amazon cloud service

Roskomnadzor unblocked the Amazon S3 cloud service, which was blocked on June 21, where information from NetFlix, Airbnb, Twitter, Tumblr, Formspring, Pinterest, Dropbox and other sites is stored. This was reported on the official Twitter of the department.

The official representative of the department, Vadim Ampelonsky, explained the blocking of the cloud service by the fact that there was an advertisement for the 888poker poker room and a link to download an online poker game. The Federal Tax Service notified Amazon of a possible blocking, but there was no response.

At the end of 2015, changes to the law on state regulation of the organization and conduct of gambling came into force in Russia. These changes allowed the Federal Tax Service to find sites with illegal gambling and report it to Roskomnadzor.
