
The Supreme Court of Crimea upheld the decision to extend the term of detention by September 8 by the three defendants in the second Crimean case “Hizb Ut-Taurir” Enver Bekirov, Muslim Aliyev and Vadim Siruku. This was reported on the page of the group "Crimean Solidarity".
All three defendants participated in a meeting on video communication from the pre -trial detention center. They complained that in the cells where they are contained, very hot and stuffy. Syrok said that he was experiencing severe toothache, but he does not want to contact a dentist in the pre-trial detention center due to the fact that he does not heal his teeth, but immediately removes them. Therefore, Siruk has to take medications for dullness of pain. Bekirov also complained about the unsatisfactory state of his health. He has severe headaches and pressure problems.
Hearing on the complaint of the fourth person involved in the case, the Crimean Tatar human rights activist Emir-Usein Kuk, was postponed to June 28 due to the lack of his lawyer.
On June 7, the Kiev District Court of Simferopol extended for three months , until September 8, the arrest of Kuku, Siruk, Bekirov and Aliyev. "The court clearly took the side of the prosecution, and all the arguments of the defense probably sounded for the relatives of the arrested and walls of the meeting hall. Motivation when extending the detention period until September 8 is alone - while at large, they can hide from the investigation, put pressure on witnesses, and for their health, none of them have contraindications for arrest. It is known that in the second Crimean case “Hizb Ut -Taurir”, as well as in the first, one of the defendants was charged with part 1 of Article 205.5 (the organization of the activities of a terrorist organization), and the rest - part 2 (participation in the activities of such an organization). However, who exactly is charged with the "organization" is unknown.
On April 18, two more defendants in the second business were detained - Arsen Dzhepparov and Refat Alimov, young people 23-24 years old. Like the previously arrested Bekirov, they are residents of the village of Krasnokamenka (Kyzyltash) within Yalta. The next day, the Kiev district court of Simferopol arrested these defendants . On June 17, the terms of detention in the pre -trial detention center Jeppov and Alimov were also extended until September 8 .
