Balbek: Islyamov prepared a sabotage in the Kerch Strait

The Crimean Tatar collaborator Ruslan Balbek, Deputy Prime Minister in the Administration of the annexed Crimea, said that the chief of staff of the Civil Blockade of the Peninsula Lenur Islyamov prepared a sabotage in the Kerch Strait in order to break the ferry message between the Crimea and Russia. According to Balbek, a video of the sabotage was presented by a certain resident of Crimea, who entered the Volunteer Battalion organized by Islyamov. Noman Chelebidzhikhan, and having learned about the upcoming operation, returned to the peninsula and surrendered to the Russian administration. Whether the case was initiated against this citizen, the official did not specify.

The operation, Balbek said, was planned at the beginning of June. A number of vessels under the guise of fishing, according to the official, were supposed to "block the path to ships and ferries in the Kerch Strait with special randomly scattered long steel cables that could wrap up on a screw and lead to tragedy."

However, at the last moment, the sabotage was canceled due to the breakdown of one of the ships, the collaborator said. How many courts were supposed to take part in the operation, he did not specify.

“Islyamov once again confirmed his terrorist entity,” Balbek concluded. He also accused the politician of "neglect and abuse of the values ​​of traditional Islam", recalling that "in a month Ramadan is prescribed to stop any conflicts." The Crimean Tatars called the collaborator "former compatriots" of Islyamov.

In May 2014, Balbek, the leader of the Opposition Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people of the Organization of Crimea, replaced Islyamov as deputy head of the Russian government of Crimea. If Islyamov was delegated to this structure with Majlis, then he removed it from his post and appointed Balbek the State Council of the region in his place.

In October 2015, after the beginning of the civilian blockade of Crimea, Balbek spoke with a number of sharp attacks on Mezhlis. In particular, he stated that the leaders of the Crimean Tatar National Self -Governmentare recruiting Muslims to the Islamic State . He later claimed that Majlis has no influence on the indigenous people of the region and that the Crimean Tatars complain of him and ask him to ban it .

In November 2015, after the start of the energy blockade of Crimea, the Russian authorities of the peninsula opened the case under part 2 of Article 281 of the Russian Criminal Code (sabotage committed by an organized group and entailed grave consequences), which provides for 12 to 20 years of the colony. At the same time, the politician announced the sea blockade of Crimea, but this idea has not yet been implemented.
