The governor of the Kirov region, Nikita Belykh, was detained while receiving the third part of a bribe in the amount of 150,000 euros. This was reported to RIA Novosti by a source familiar with the situation.
“On Friday, Belykh received from [the owner of the Novovyatsky Ski Plant] Yuri Zudheimer a package containing 150,000 euros and a bottle of wine,” the source said.
It follows from the words of the source that Belykh received the first tranche in the amount of 200 thousand euros in 2014 from the previous owner of the Novovyatsky Ski Plant, Albert Laritsky.
The fact that the governor received the first tranche from Laritsky back in 2014 is indicated in his testimony by the co-owner of the Forestry Management Company and the Novovyatsky Ski Combine, a German citizen Yuri Zudheimer, the source claims. These testimonies, according to him, were obtained before the operational experiment, and in them the witness indicates that Belykh asked for money "for patronage."
