In Tatarstan, on the Kazan-Shemordan highway, an accident occurred involving a minibus and a car. According to preliminary data, the cause of the collision was the departure of a passenger car into the oncoming lane.
As a result, eight people died, including two children. Four people are in the hospital.
Six people were initially reported dead. Four of them traveled in a minibus, and two in a car.
“The number of people killed in road accidents in the Tyulyachinsky district has reached eight people. Among the dead are two minors - 2002 and 2009," the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Tatarstan told the Interfax news agency.
