Expert Aleksey Makarkin: Volodin can improve the results of EP in Saratov and neighboring regions

The inclusion of the first deputy head of the Presidential Administration Vyacheslav Volodin in the list of candidates for deputies from United Russia ”for Saratov and neighboring regions may improve the results of the party in these regions. This was in an interview with Polit.ru was stated by the Deputy Director of the Center for Political Technology, the editor -in -chief of the Politkom.ru website Alexei Makarkin, commenting on the media reports on the decision of the EP leadership to include Volodin in the list of candidates.

“I think that, firstly, of course, Volodin will not go to any state Duma, as well as Medvedev does not want to go to the Duma, but wants to remain the prime minister, and as a number of chapters of the regions that are on the list of United Russia and will not be deputies. That I think this is not related to his transition to the State Duma.

What is it connected with? I think, with the following factor: Volodin is usually perceived as a federal official, the political sphere curator in the presidential administration. But in Saratov, he, first of all, is a successful fellow countryman, the most successful Saratov politician. He was repeatedly elected in Saratov: for the first time - back in 1990 in the elections to the regional council. He was elected there to the State Duma in a single -mandate district, including IV 2011, when United Russia had far from the most successful election campaign, in Saratov, United Russia showed a very decent result thanks to Volodin.

Now the parties need to go to the polls in conditions when it is very recommended to count the votes correctly from the same Kremlin - so that there are no scandals, so that even what happened in 2011 does not happen close. For this, the chairman of the CEC was replaced, and now they are changing the chairmen of the election commission where the administrative resource has flourished most of all. But if they say that it is necessary to correctly consider without distorting the results of voting, then you will have to maximize the result in some other ways.

And in this situation, one of these methods of maximization is strong figures at the head of regional groups. And Volodin for Saratov - and, I think, for regions adjacent to the Saratov region - just such a strong figure. Therefore, I don’t see anything special in such a solution, this is ordinary political tactics , ”said Alexei Makarkin.

The fact that the Prime Minister and Chairman of United Russia Dmitry Medvedev proposed to include Vyacheslav Volodin in the list of United Russia in the elections to the State Duma was known on July 27. At a joint meeting of the highest and general councils of the party, this decision was made, and the party congress should approve it.

It is assumed that Volodin will enter the 15th regional group (Volgograd, Saratov, Penza, Tambov regions). Of the famous people, it was also decided to include director Stanislav Govorukhin, Crimean prosecutor Natalia Poklonskaya, polar explorer, Arthur Chilingarov and the commander of the Airborne Forces Vladimir Shamanov.
