The TD correspondent talked with the liquidator of the accident in Chernobyl about how miners from Russia were taken to the radioactive zone, and how they survive in the last 30 years
“The authorities gathered us after the shift and reported:“ Guys, tomorrow you are going on a business trip. ” And then the money was issued by the money. Together with the authorities, just in case, he came a military commissar and said: “And who does not want to voluntarily go on a business trip for two weeks, he will go there, but for six months of military training.” About Chernobyl and radiation, of course, no one knew anything. So we became the heroes of the liquidation of Chernobyl, ”says Vladimir Mnushko. In the summer of 1986, he fell into one of the first groups of miners sent to eliminate the Chernobyl disaster from the RSFSR. Previously, in Chernobyl they coped with the forces of miners from Ukraine. ”
102 people went from the Uzlovsky district of the Tula region along with Mnushko. Until 2016, only 44 survived.
“Yes, not to say that we have some kind of big mor. Well, we are dying slowly, yes. In one year, seven people die, in the other-one or two. There is no big mora. True, the two chairmen were already buried ... And they went there fun there. Were they afraid? Ha! Where is there. I left my wife and two children. I was thirty years old - I was drowning from children, from my wife to Ukraine in the summer. I thought we’ll drink Vincets with friends there! ” -Mnushko smiles, as if he recalls a funny story that tested by time.
The day before, Mnushko came to a meeting with schoolchildren to tell them about Chernobyl. But then he was stuck in his throat, and tears appeared in his eyes. He stood in front of the children for two minutes, not in his voice squeezed out: “Guys, I can’t tell you anything” ... The schoolchildren slammed their hands. The meeting with them ended on this.
He stood in front of the children for two minutes, not in his voice squeezed out: “Guys, I can’t tell you anything”But now Mnushko is located among other liquidators - at the organizational meeting on the eve of the anniversary of Chernobyl. His comrades are vigorously swearing and teasing each other. In such an atmosphere, it is easy and pleasant to say to the veteran - even about the sad events of 86.
In Chernobyl, he worked for two weeks. Every day - two shifts for three hours, on the knees at 60 degrees of heat, next to the fourth reactor of nuclear power plants.
“We went to work as doctors of sciences: white costumes, caps, gauze bandages, we scored gas masks, respirators, boots, similar to sneakers, only long, like boots. No special means of radiation protection. And since our shifts were night, there were no special inspectors, they walked during the day. We undressed, otherwise we would have cooked there or suffocate. As you left the mine, you will suffocate to death - there was a liter from each boot.
It worked normally, although it was difficult - my mother is dear! There were no health problems there. And how they arrived home-that’s where it began. Here, radiation began to make itself felt. I could not get out of bed. Simply - Bryk - and fell for no reason. As soon as they arrived home, I was immediately hospitalized at once. These three are already dead.
Sasha Kuznetsova was immediately sent to Obninsk for examination. I did not go: I was chopped chopped up, and I seemed to feel better. And Sashka persuaded me so much in a life: “Yes, what are you! Let's go with me. We’ll drink a couple of weeks on sick leave. ” He was once again irradiated in Obninsk. They wanted to extinguish something in the thyroid laser rays. And extinguished. The first of us left.
Vladimir was a miner with a liquidator in the Chernobyl zone during the 1986 Chernobyl accident. He went to work, and he was told that he was going on a photo trip photo: Arthur Bondar for TDAt first there was no resentment for that business trip. Resentment was completely different. Our brigade showed the highest indicators in those two weeks, and the letters and awards of the socialist competition passed by ... This then understood how serious everything was, how the problems with his wife began. This is yes - I went, so I went. You are 30 years old, but you are not capable of male affairs. The grandfathers are easily, but you are not. It’s good that by that time the children were already ... But I had played football before, in the ring beat his face. And they beat me. And here is all. Although, maybe only this saved that he was engaged in sports, otherwise he would have been lying with others. It helped that I used to be an athlete, but now I go to church. And I do not drink almost. And here many were drunk, they got away from this. Especially when the rumor has gone that vodka helps from radiation.
I have a friend Kolka what a hefty guy, a village strong man. I never drank wine. When we drank, he only poured glasses in glasses, and no-no. And then the conversation went: "Guys, vodka derives radiation!" And Kolka, how, come on, 100 grams for appetite, after appetite. And went and went. Already when he could neither walk nor speak, he took food through a tube - he drank vodka on it and washed down with lemonade.
Now we have good pensions - around 100 thousand. But already two -thirds of the liquidators in Russia were killed, we can say over time, their money was added. And when there was still Soviet power ... God forbid, ask. They answered everyone: well, you are volunteers! And as they died on the Great Patriotic War, but tolerated. So you endure! And the fact that the hero could not walk was stumbled out of the blue and fell, they did not pay attention to it.
But now there is a strange attitude. I somehow lay in therapy after surgery. And a guy is lying nearby, he was cut twice. He is not a Chernobyl, but lives in the Chernobyl defeat zone in Russia. Perhaps he also grabbed the radiation here. The doctor said to me: “And how are you different from him? He also suffered, however, here, and not there, he was already cut twice. And a privileged position and a large pension - you have. ” I lie and do not even know what to answer. It's a shame, what do you say? It was painful to hear this - but you can’t say anything. But this doctor says so - an educated person. What then do the rest of the people think? That we rolled up for two weeks, and now we live everything, living and living, but everything is held in high esteem.
How is health? Yes, what health is there. Tablets-tablets-tablets. When I contact the doctors, they no longer know what to do with meHow is health? Yes, what health is there. Tablets-tablets-tablets. When I contact the doctors, they no longer know what to do with me. Although we are monitoring us. Every year we go to Tula with regional control. In Moscow, they were treated at the institute. We are treated for free, well, except for the tests, you need to pay. And the doctors are good.
True, it happens funny. Once they removed the kidney. And then the commission in Tula checks. The doctor is so important, he rumbles there something with an ultrasound and dictates to the laboratory assistant:
- Write down! Left bud - 100 millimeters. The right kidney is also 110!
He asks me to turn over. I turn over:
-Doctor, but my kidneys are not right. What did you measure me? Grown, or what?
He got angry and how he started:
- And what did you not tell me right away?!
Although, of course, they are probably good people there. It’s a sin to complain. ”
