After the revolution, there was a category of persons deprived of suffrage and some other rights - deprived. These were people belonging to the classes unfriendly to the new government: merchants, nobles, priests - in general, representatives of the exploiting classes, a counter -revolutionary element. Naturally, they were ready to do everything to counteract the Soviet regime, so already in 1918 the Constitution of the RSFSR deprived them of electoral rights. The situation then, what to say, was not easy - a civil war, intervention - therefore, it was necessary to go to severe measures. The Constitution of the USSR of 1936 regained suffrage to all citizens of the USSR.

Now the situation, perhaps, is even more complicated than a hundred years ago: Russia, like many other countries of the world, is threatened by a terrible enemy - terrorism. The fight against him goes on distant approaches - in Syria; The struggle with it is also on the territory of our country. This is not a struggle for life, but for death, so here all means are good.

The fight against terrorism goes not only in force, but also at the legislative level: our Duma offer various legislative innovations. MP Irina Yarovaya, a prominent fighter with enemies and corruption, is especially productive in this regard. In the spring of laws proposed by her in the spring, in addition to the arrangement of KA and sanctions for various kinds of terrorist activities, innovation was provided - the loss of citizenship in the form of an action.

According to this proposal, citizens of Russia could be considered lost by their citizenship in the form of actions in the case of crimes under the commission of the Criminal Code, in the case of work in law enforcement agencies and special services of foreign states, as well as “due to the implementation of the Russian Federation in international organizations (associations), in which the Russian Federation does not participate, unless otherwise provided international treaty of the Russian Federation. "

Such provisions would lead to the emergence of a category of new deprivation: stateless people. And this could only be welcomed: now our country is again, as in 1918, in the ring of enemies, and no one is protected from a terrorist threat.

However, Hai immediately rose: how, deprivation of citizenship is anti -constitutional! A nightmare, it turns out that you can lose citizenship only because you are in some innocent scientific society-an international organization. And so on.

All these screams and screams led to the fact that the provision on deprivation of citizenship from the bill removed. And I think that in vain! Leaving aside the constitutionality of this situation, we ask ourselves the question of whether we want to have among the fellow citizens of those who explode our houses and planes. I personally do not particularly want.

And most importantly, I do not understand why some representatives of the scientific community were so agitated. Did the draft law have a ban on participating in various international organizations, including scientific? In no case! It is only said that participation in various international organizations needs to be obtained by permission of the authorized bodies.

Do you want to join any physical or mathematical, chemical or biological society, become a member of some foreign academy? No problems: you inform the specially trained comrades from the relevant authorities - and they decide whether your participation in such an organization of damage to the Russian Federation will cause the current difficult situation. Popures of the famous poet, "you may not be a scientist, but must be a citizen."

A completely normal solution to the issue: the bodies have a noticeably greater information than a simple citizen, whether he is even a major scientist, and they know whether they should contact any international organization or not. If you do not care about the interests of Russia, well, participate in the activities of this organization, but not as a Russian citizen. And do not be offended that colleagues will call you deprived. I hope the lawmakers will still return to this issue and solve it in the right way.
