PTS declared a crowdfunding campaign

The all-Russian independent publication with a 23-year history, the Peterg Theater Journal (PTS), launches a campaign to raise funds necessary to continue its release.

This year, for the first time in the 21st century, the magazine was denied state financial support. The PTS was supposed to receive 1.2 million rubles from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, but at the end of May, the Ministry of Culture told the chief editor of the PTS Marina Dmitrevskaya that he “appreciates the contribution of a magazine that has been illuminating the theatrical processes of the capital and regional theaters for more than 20 years,” but cannot finance it “due to the optimization of the federal budget for 2016”.

In this situation, the editorial board of the PTS decided to turn to the readers of the magazine for help.

In order to continue work and release the two remaining numbers of the year, it is required to collect 700 thousand rubles. Until the end of the crowdfunding campaign on the site Planeta.ru there were 93 days.
