Russians who approve of Putin’s work as president have decreased in a year

The attitude of Russians to the activities of Vladimir Putin at the head of state has undergone a change in the negative side for a year, judging by the surveys of the population conducted by the sociologists of the Levada Center.

According to the latest study conducted at the end of June, 81% of respondents approve of Putin’s activities as president. A year ago, in June 2015, there were 89%of them.

The number of those who do not approve of Putin’s work in this position grew over this time period from 10 to 18%, showed a survey.

- Putin began to lose the confidence of the Russians, the sociologists noted - a third of Russians spoke out for the president of the Russian Federation to become a woman

The attitude of Russians to the activities of Dmitry Medvedev as the prime minister became much worse for the year: 51% of the participants in the current survey approve of it (66% a year ago), 48% of respondents against 33% a year earlier expressed the opposite opinion.

The number of dissatisfied with the activities of the Government as a whole increased even more significant over the year - from 37 to 51%, and the number of Cabinet approved by the work of the Cabinet of Ministers decreased from 62 to 48%.

Significantly diminished - from 64 to 50% - and the number of Russians who believe that things in the country under its current leadership are in the right direction, and the number of those who believe that Russia is moving along the wrong path has grown over a year from 22 to 33%.

Also, many Russians in a year disappointed the activities of the State Duma, which recently finished their work in the current composition on the eve of the upcoming elections . 57% of the participants in the current survey said that they did not approve of the activities of the lower house (in June 2015 there were 44%), 41% of respondents against 54% a year earlier expressed the opposite point of view.
