Andrey Balin, co-chairman of the Samara branch of the PARNAS party, was charged under article 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting hatred or enmity). This was reported on June 30 on the party website with reference to the words of Balin. The politician suggested that he would be detained.
On the morning of Thursday, June 30, three employees of the Center "E" came to Balin's apartment with a search, the report says. Meanwhile, on this day, the politician was supposed to leave for the party congress, which will be held in Moscow on the weekend of July 2-3.
What exactly became the basis for initiating the case is not reported.
In March 2016, Balin was found guilty of displaying prohibited symbols for posting a collage on social media. He was arrested for three days.
