In Russia, from July 1, tariffs for housing and communal services have grown. According to TASS, the increase in the total payment of Russians for housing and communal services on average in the country amounted to 4 percent.
“It should be clarified that we are only talking about utilities - water, electricity, heat and gas. Prices for housing services are the maintenance of the adjacent territory, the current repair of common property, cleaning of entrances, etc. - are not subject to state regulation, but are established by managing companies in agreement with homeowners,” the agency explained to the Ministry of Construction.
The department emphasized that the growth of the tariff by 4 percent is below inflation. "According to the results of May, the inflation rate exceeded 7 percent. Last year, inflation amounted to 15.6 percent, and the restriction of the total utility payment for utility resources amounted to 8.3 percent," the ministry added.
At the same time, the growth of tariffs in the country was recognized as uneven. “In absolute dimension, tariffs change with a large difference for each city or village, it depends on many circumstances - for example, the availability of the resource. In a number of regions, the increase in prices is economically justified by historically low tariffs, somewhere tariffs, on the contrary, will not increase, since there are no investments and the need to increase the fee in the previous years,” the situation in the Ministry of Construction explained.
