On the morning of July 1, on Krasny Kazanets Street in eastern Moscow, police detained several people who opposed the cutting down of trees for the construction of the North-Eastern Expressway, and an ambulance was called for one person. Soon, two people in police uniforms arrived at the scene, one of them filmed what was happening on camera, and the second began to install a construction fence. None of them introduced themselves to the audience and did not show official documents. According to eyewitnesses, when a woman approached him to explain what was going on, he started yelling at her, pushing her, grabbing her by the shoulders and demanding to comply with the demands of a police officer, although he had not previously proved that he really was one. At some point, he tried to detain the woman, but the people gathered around prevented him from doing this, and she ran back to the stroller with her child. A police officer tried to pull her away from the wheelchair, as a result, her husband, who stood up for her, was detained, and then one or two other people.
The detainees were put into a police car that arrived and taken to the Veshnyaki police station. The exact number and names of the detainees are being specified.
