Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky announced the launch of an educational Internet portal dedicated to the history of Russian cinema in December. The portal will be called in honor of Chapaev - one of the most recognizable domestic movie heroes. In fact, the portal will be an online encyclopedia, in which by the end of next year information will be collected about thousands of films and three hundred filmmakers. In the future, this work will continue. The portal will be filled with the efforts of the team of the magazine "Session", which over the years of work created its own encyclopedic base.
I think the idea is good. Indeed, there is such a problem - youth does not know their native cinematic classics. The whole generation has grown on Hollywood militants and has no idea who Eugene Leonov, Innokenty Smoktunovsky, Leonid Bykov and so on have no idea. They know, the maximum, the comedy of Gaidai, The Irony of Fate and the series about Stirlitz. And that's all! And, meanwhile, the viewer needs to be brought up. He needs to instill a love of domestic cinema since childhood. If you do this, every year of twenty -year -old young people who "fundamentally do not watch Russian cinema" will be less and less.
Do you think American teenagers are watching only Marveli movie comics? Yes, they adore them. But they also watched "Directed by the Wind", "Citizen of Kane", "Roman holidays", Hitchcock films and classic musicals. At one time, they were told that American cinema has a rich story, that there is a huge layer of classic cinema, where there are masterpieces, which at least once in his life should see every self -respecting American. And who will tell our teenagers about such films as “Ballad of a Soldier”, “Three Topols on Plushchiya”, “There are only old people”, “July rain”, “Flights in a dream and in reality”, “Nine days of the same year”, “Beware of a car”, “Lives such a guy”, “When the trees were big”? I specifically listed high -quality spectator cinema, which is now interesting to watch.
It's like literature. At school, children are instilled in a love of reading, they introduce them to Russian classics. And I do not know a single person who would not fundamentally read Russian literature. Ask anyone and he will answer you that we have excellent literature! Because they explained at school. We read at one time Dostoevsky and Tolstoy, now they read modern Russian writers with no less interest. And would they read if they were brought up exclusively on French or German literature? I doubt.
When I have children, I will definitely show them all our classic films that at one time impressed me. Well, I will not torment Tarkovsky. They will see when they grow up. But something simpler - certainly. And cartoons, by the way, too. We have amazing animation! Disney is resting!
Show the children a classic, introduce them to their native culture! Maybe then they will grow up by patriots. It’s hard to develop a country without patriots.
