Employees of prefectures and the State Inspectorate for Control over the Use of Real Estate in Moscow have handed out notices to the owners of buildings on Zubovsky Boulevard and B. Semenovskaya Street about the need to dismantle unauthorized structures, Interfax reports.

In particular, a notice of inclusion in the list of illegally erected structures that pose a danger to citizens and are subject to demolition was handed to representatives of the Khleb Nasushny café and pastry shop on Zubovsky Boulevard.

The head of the real estate control department for the Central Administrative District of the State Real Estate Inspectorate, Aleksey Ionkin, explained that the owner has the opportunity to voluntarily dismantle the property before July 28. The official added that they also gave the tenant of the premises an information leaflet so that he could choose a new property in advance, Interfax reports.

Owners who dismantle buildings voluntarily and extinguish their ownership rights in the unified state register will be able to receive compensation from the prefecture of their district, Sergei Shogurov, head of the State Inspectorate for Control over the Use of Real Estate in Moscow, told TASS. Since the owners of the buildings that were demolished in Moscow first, according to the December decree, did not apply for compensation, the payment methodology has not yet been approved. It must be approved by the Moscow Department of Economic Policy.
