The FSB of Russia in the Vologda Oblast opened 10 criminal cases against members of the lumberjacks' artel, who were detained on suspicion of supporting the Islamic State (the organization is banned in the Russian Federation as a terrorist organization).
Cases have been initiated, in particular, under articles on assistance to terrorist activities and illicit arms trafficking.
The FSB clarified that there were four detainees - a Russian and three immigrants from Dagestan. Earlier it was reported that 13 people were detained.
“In the prayer room during religious meetings, sermons by ideologues of international terrorist organizations were demonstrated, justifying terrorist activities,” the source said.
