The opposition politician has entered the list of the most influential people in Russia

On July 4, the results of the study of the Center for Political Technologies (CPT) - the “political class of Russia”, including the rating of the most influential Russians, were published. The sensation was that among them is the surname of Alexei Navalny.

In total, the list of 145 names: politicians, businessmen, public figures. At the same time, the rating is divided into five groups: representatives of federal state institutions, party-parliamentary elite, representatives of the constituent entities of the Federation, opinion leaders and business leaders. As the experts of the Central Plant indicated, they calculated their “index of influence”, relying on the results of an expert survey, media index, as well as on the basis of their own assessment. In the country, the authors of the study draw an uncomplicated conclusion, the influence of the president, its administration and security forces dominates.

The founder of the Corruption Foundation (FBK), the chairman of the unregistered “Party of Progress” Alexei Navalny turned out to be the only representative of the non -parliamentary opposition, who managed to break into the upper lines of one of the groups - “Party -Parliamentary Elite”. In the ranking, he found himself at number 13, ahead of the vice-speaker of the State Duma Sergey Zheleznyak and the chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Alexei Pushkov (14th and 15th places).

The party-parliamentary elite group was headed by the speakers of both chambers of parliament Valentina Matvienko and Sergey Naryshkin. They are followed by Gennady Zyuganov (Communist Party), Vladimir Zhirinovsky (LDPR), Sergey Neverov (secretary of the General Council of United Russia). The leader of “Fair Russia” Sergei Mironov was in 8th place, going forward to the first vice-speaker of the State Duma Alexander Zhukov (6th place) and the co-chair of the Central Staff of the All-Russian Popular Front (ONF) of the Alexander Brebrechalov (7th place).

Porridge in the brains

Political scientist Gleb Pavlovsky is not surprised by the hit of Navalny into the upper lines of the Central Department Store. “There is no doubt for me that Navalny occupies an important place in the minds of fairly wide masses,” Ntpavlovsky said. According to him, if objective ratings were held in Russia, then Navalny would be in the first ten most influential politicians: "After all, his recognition is higher than this follows from sociological surveys."

At the same time, Pavlovsky is critical of the “indexes of influence” compiled by catch structures, including CPT. He believes that such ratings instill in the Russians the idea that politicians and officials are one and the same. “Such ratings do not give a real idea of ​​the situation in the country,” the political scientist explains his position. The main purpose of such studies is to "do not give at the exit information that could be used in the framework of political activity."

According to the expert, today the ratings are compiled according to the simple principle: and we interviewed people about what they have learned from television. At the same time, the same Navalny6, according to him, "appears in television programs as an extremely unpleasant person." Instead of giving people the opportunity to make their own critical opinion, including Navalny, on the basis of real information, “porridge is consciously created in their brains,” Pavlovsky summarizes.
