Whites called the condition for the cessation of the hunger strike

The governor of the Kirov region Nikita Belykh will continue the hunger strike until he meets his relatives, TASS lawyer Vadim Prokhorov told TASS.

“He does not stop the hunger strike, since he was still not allowed to meet with his relatives,” Prokhorov said.

Belykh declared a hunger strike on June 29 in protest due to the prosecution and due to the fact that his wife and brother were not allowed to go to him. Earlier, he reported that he eats almost nothing in a pre -trial detention center, since he has no necessary drugs, and this is not a hunger strike in protest.

The governor was detained on June 24 in Moscow when receiving money, which, according to the investigation, were part of a bribe of € 400 thousand. According to the UK, the White received the money for the support of the Novovyatsky skiing plant and the forestry management company.

Belykh, by court decision, was arrested on June 25 for two months, he was charged with receiving a bribe on an especially large scale.

The official has been led by the Kirov region since 2009. Officially white is still a governor, decisions about his resignation were not made.
