The British engineer collected a computer weighing 500 kilograms and plays it in Tetris

Engineer James Newman from Cambridge built a huge computer in the living room of his house and plays it in Tetris. Its device weighs 500 kilograms, the height of the computer is two meters, and the width is 10 meters.

It all started with the fact that Newman was just interested in how transistors and microprocessors work. Modern computers seemed too small to him to study, he told on the website of his project.

It took four years to create your own computer model for a computer. The engineer spent 40 thousand pounds (3.4 million rubles).

The device contains 40 thousand transistors and 10 thousand LED lamps. Newman called his large computer a "megapermedeser." While he used it only to play tetris.

“The car on your desktop can be millions of times better than the one that I built - but my development looks much more beautiful,” the engineer commented on the BBC publication.

Newman doubts that the Megapermopessor will be able to sell, so he plans to use it as a training manual. This summer, he intends to invite all those interested in home to show them a computer. The engineer also expects that its development will go to the museum or in the educational institution.
