
The court arrested the deputy director of the Federal Agency for Special Construction (Spetsstroy) Alexander Buryakov on suspicion of fraud on an especially large scale. It is reported by Kommersant.
According to the publication, employees of the Main Directorate of Economic Security and Countering Corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained Buryakov on July 4 and also conducted searches at his house in his office. After the investigators, the Tverskaya District Court appealed with a petition for the arrest of the colonel. Later, the publication became known that Buryakov was arrested until August 30.
According to Kommersant, from the materials of the court it follows that the deputy director of the special construction is charged with the commission of a crime under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code (fraud on an especially large scale). According to investigators, several more people are involved in fraud, including businessmen who worked under the contracts of the special building. Since information about their detention was not received, they probably actively cooperate with the investigation, the newspaper notes. The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the court refused to comment on the situation.
The press service of the special construction in the commentary of Kommersant said that criminal cases were initiated by the facts of improper performance by individual contracting organizations of obligations under state contracts. The publication also said that during the investigation, documents related to the activities of the contractors were seized. The representative of the special construction noted that the agency provides maximum assistance to the investigation.
The publication notes that Buryakov was appointed for this post exactly a year ago. The newspaper sources report that recently he resolved a lot of agency issues: he replaced Alexander Volosov, director of the Special Construction Director, had the right to sign the administrative acts during the absence of at the workplace, and inspected the objects.
