The Governor of the Moscow Region Andrei Vorobyov supported the proposal of the CEC of Russia on the appointment of a new head of the election commission of the region: instead of Irek Vildanov, Irina Konovalova should be occupied.
“I fully support this candidate,” his press service said Vorobyova.
Earlier, the CEC of the Russian Federation proposed to be appointed a member of the Mosoblisbirkom with a decisive vote of the dean of the law faculty of Moscow Regional University, acting as the head of the Department of Criminal Law, Irina Konovalova. The CEC also considered an expert in the field of suffrage, co -chair of the Voice of the Voice Council, Andrei Buzin, to this position. Four members of the CEC cast voted for him, nine members of the commission voted for Konovalov.
The position became vacant in connection with the early termination of the powers of Irek Vildanov, who headed the regional election. He was resigned after scandalous elections in Barvikh - an elite village near Moscow. Mass registration of voters was revealed there.
Elections in Barvikh were supposed to be held on April 24, employees of the FBK, founded by the opposition figure Alexei Navalny, were going to participate in them. They explained this by the fact that many investigations of the fund are related to real estate of high -ranking officials, including on the lands of this rural settlement.
However, the local election officer announced an early vote for a week, where citizens who were registered in Barvikha began to come in Barvikh. Navalny's associates considered this a mechanism for falsification of the elections and complained to the head of the CEC Elle Pamfilova.
