The Soyuz MS manned ship, which first launched Baikonur from the Cosmodrome on July 7, delivered the next expedition to the International Space Station (ISS). According to Roscosmos , the docking in automatic mode was performed at 07:06 Moscow time. The hatches were opened after 9:40.
The process on the air is shown by the website of the American aerospace agency NASA . Video of the moment of opening of hatches and the meeting of astronauts is published on the website of Roscosmos.
Anatoly Ivanishin, Astronaut Jaxa Takuya Onishi and American Kathlein Rubins, arrived at the new "Soyuz" on the new "Union". In the Union they spent two days.
It was expected that transition hatches would be open at about 10 in the morning. However, this happened a little earlier: at 9:42, Interfax from the flight management center said that the astronauts crossed on board the station. On the ISS, the Cosmonauts of Roscosmos Aleksey Ovchinin and Oleg Skripochka, as well as NASA astronaut Jeffrey Williams, met the ISS.

The expedition will last 115 days. As part of the flight, the crew has a series of experiments, including a biological-medical character. In particular, it is supposed to conduct a series of research for the joint Russian-American experiment SpaceShift.
The Japanese astronaut Onishi will conduct an experiment to grow crystals in orbit.
Also, within the framework of the mission, it is supposed to conduct flight tests of a new ship, which externally differs from the previous modifications by the dark color of the hull. They will work out the radio engineering system, traffic control systems and navigation.
It is supposed to work out the restoration regimen of the Space Truck "Progress MS" with the ISS in television operator control (Torah) - for this they will be disconnected, and then they will be reused.
