Daria Polyudova submitted documents for parole

Activist Darya Polyudova, who was sentenced to two years in a colony-settlement for posts on social networks on charges of inciting extremism and separatism, has applied for parole. This was reported on July 11 by Interfax.

“Dasha filed documents for parole at the Leninsky District Court of Novorossiysk. The first court session may be scheduled for approximately the end of July,” said the activist’s mother, Tatyana Polyudova.

Polyudova's lawyer Andrey Sabinin added that taking into account the six months of pre-trial detention spent in the pre-trial detention center of the Federal Security Service of Krasnodar, his client has the right to apply for parole. Polyudova is currently being held in colony-settlement No. 10 in the Krasnodar Territory.
