According to the conclusions of the international coalition for readiness for treatment, the financing of purchases of preparations for HIV preparations planned for 2016 has already been reduced by more than 44 million rubles compared to 2015. In Tatarstan, the reduction was 27 percent, the Krasnoyarsk Territory - 20, the Chelyabinsk region - at 16, the Altai Territory - in 15, the Moscow region - 12, the Irkutsk region - 5 percent.

The source of the publication in the government associated the problem with the reduction of the expenditure part of the budget as part of the anti -crisis plan. “The reason for the reduction in financing is the sequestration of expenses by the Ministry of Finance,” he said. “The funds are frozen in the whole in this area, but some regions can be dispensed with due to internal redistribution of finances.”

On January 20, the head of the Federal Scientific and Methodological Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS Academician of the RAMS Vadim Pokrovsky said that a million HIV-infected people have officially registered in Russia. "On January 20, a millionth patient of HIV was officially introduced in the Database on HIV-positive citizens of Russia, located in the Federal Scientific and Methodological Center for the Prevention and Combating of AIDS," the academician said. He clarified that not the entire population was examined, and according to expert data, up to one and a half million Russians can already be carriers of HIV.

"Infection of HIV -gender, sexually sexually, is currently typical, since more than 2 percent of men aged 25 - 40 are already carriers of HIV. About 53 percent of cases of infection in 2015 were associated with drug use, 43 - with sexual contacts between men and women, 1.5 percent with homosexual contacts. 2.5 percent of cases relate to children born from HIV -infected mothers, but their diagnosis can be removed after an additional examination, ”said Pokrovsky.

Earlier, Pokrovsky said that since the registration of the first case of HIV in Russia in 1987, for various reasons, about 205 thousand HIV-infected people died.
