After searches, security forces detained three members of the neo-Nazi organization Misanthropic Division

Three members of the banned neo-Nazi organization Misanthropic Division were detained in Moscow, Arkhangelsk and Rostov-on-Don, a source in law enforcement agencies told the Moscow agency.

According to the agency’s interlocutor, on July 12, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FSB conducted four searches in Moscow and the Moscow region at the places of residence of active members of the group. After this, security forces detained a 25-year-old Muscovite living on Klyucheva Street in the Southern Administrative District, as well as two members of the organization from Arkhangelsk and Rostov-on-Don.

On the morning of July 12, the Investigative Committee announced the initiation of a criminal case against the founder of the organization, Dmitry Pavlov - he is suspected of organizing the activities of an extremist community, public calls for terrorist and extremist activities or public justification of terrorism, inciting hatred or enmity, as well as rehabilitation of Nazism (Part 2 of Article 205.2 , part 2 of article 280, parts 1 and 2 of article 282.1, parts 1 and 2 of article 282.2, paragraph “c” of part 2 of article 282, part 3 of article 354.1 of the Criminal Code).

According to the Investigative Committee, cells of the organization were opened in 19 countries, including Germany, France, Poland and the UK. The alleged leader of the organization is now in Germany. Russian authorities have already demanded his extradition.

The Misanthropic Division association was banned in July 2015 by a decision of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Court.
