
On July 11, Qualcomm officially introduced the Snapdragon 821 mobile processor, which is an improved version of the Snapdragon 820 chip. At the same time, Qualcomm representatives reported that the first devices on the basis of the new processor will appear on the market in the second half of this year.
The first of such devices was announced already a day after the release of a new chip. This device was the updated version of the ASUS Zenfone 3 Deluxe smartphone at the end of May, reports Engadget .
The remaining characteristics of the device compared to the version equipped with the Snapdragon 820 chip have not changed. The metal smartphone received a 5.7-inch display with a resolution of 1920*1080, 6 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory, as well as a Microsd slot with a volume of up to 128 GB, which can be used by one of two connectors for SIM cards.
The resolution of the main camera of a smartphone equipped with a laser phase autofocus is 23 megapixels. The front camera has a resolution of 8 megapixels, and the battery capacity, which received support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, is 3000 mAh. The smartphone is also equipped with a fingerprint sensor.
The start of ASUS Zenfone 3 Deluxe sales in Hong Kong and Taiwan is scheduled for early August. The version of the smartphone with the Snapdragon 821 chip will cost customers about 780 US dollars, while modifications with the Snapdragon 820 chip and a smaller amount of internal memory will cost $ 500 and 560.
