Investigators of the special investigation department of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine discovered the details of a sniper rifle and machine guns, from which the Berkutians shot Euromaidan activists. This was announced on his FB page by the head of the supervisory authority Yuri Lutsenko.

According to the Prosecutor General, we are talking about the same rifle, "which the whole country saw in the hands of the killer at the October Palace."

The details of the weapon were found in the lake, Lutsenko specified.

The official added that the investigators conducted searches from people involved in the export from Kyiv and the destruction of the weapons of the Berkutians.

At the same time, the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from the presidential bloc of Petro Poroshenko, Vladimir Aryev, wrote on Facebook that the details of the rifles and machine guns were found within Kiev, "in the pond of one of the parks of the Goloseevsky district."

According to the deputy, the weapons were drowned by the very people who took the Berkutovites from Kyiv after the victory of the Maidan. The names of these people are known, Aryev added, but in the interests of the investigation are not revealed. “But when they are released, it will be a big and unpleasant surprise,” he added.

Searches for the suspects, as the Prosecutor General specified, took place on Thursday. Meanwhile, the weapon itself, judging by the dates that were affixed in photographs published by Lutsenko and Aryev, was found in late May .

In February, the director of the SBU Vasily Gritsak announced a similar find. Then the details of 22 machines of Kalashnikov, one machine gun Kalashnikov and one hunting rifle were found. In turn, the then prosecutor General Viktor Shokin assured: "The investigation proved completely and implicitly that the Maidanites were killed from this weapons."

According to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, on February 18-20, 2014, 1528 people were injured in the center of Kyiv in clashes, 103 people died.

The assistant to the prosecutor general of Ukraine Vladislav Kutsenko stated that Viktor Yanukovych, who then held the post of president of Ukraine, personally ordered the use of weapons against the Maidan.
