At least seven people suffered during a night thunderstorm in Moscow and the Moscow region, Interfax reports with reference to regional emergency services.
All victims were injured from lightning strokes and the fall of trees, while nothing threatens their lives.
During a thunderstorm, more than 300 trees fell by the wind, which led to damage to more than 20 cars, they told the Ministry of Emergencies. In addition, due to the bad weather, there was a failure in the work of the metro: the fall of the tree on the contact network temporarily interrupted the movement of trains between the Bagrationovskaya and Filevsky Park stations on the Filevskaya line.
Earlier it was reported that bad weather caused the abolition of almost 30 flights with departure from Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo airports.
