On the night of July 16 in Turkey, an attempt was committed by a coup. By morning, the rebellion was suppressed. Over the night in Ankara and Istanbul, more than 200 people died, more than 2800 was arrested. Turkish President Recep Erdogan accused the so -called Gulenists (they support the former imam Fethullah Gulen living in the United States). Gulen himself said that he had nothing to do with rebellion. Many ordinary residents of Turkey also do not believe in the official explanation of what happened. I cannot describe what I experienced yesterday. My relatives were so happy that they began to dance at home. Of course, I was a little worried when I found out about the coup, but I was also glad that Erdogan would judge and the government would change. Many here do not like Erdogan: he turned our country into some terrible Islamic state.

The army supports the ideas of [the first president of Turkey] Ataturk about the secular state - so yesterday we had hope for a better future. A coup d'etat is not a democratic solution to the situation, but I think Erdogan will never leave without radical measures.

Now I feel disgusting, because after the incident Erdogan will become even more confident and powerful. The people who support him went out into the streets today, they are happy. The government said that not the entire army made the revolution, but only individual soldiers, who were supported by Fetulla Gulen , a large opponent of Erdogan. Of course, I do not believe in the government version. These are all speculations. Erdogan plans to ruin the parliamentary system, which now exists in Turkey. He wants to become like Obama - with a similar state management system, as in the USA. I think it’s still bad that the coup was failed, I am skeptical about the future of my country. If Erdogan changes the system, I emigrate from Turkey.

Of course, I cannot be glad to the coup, but now I am even more worried about the future of the country. I do not believe that the coup was real, I think there was a conflict between the government and Erdogan personally. We are told that only a small number of soldiers wanted a coup. Then why did the other part of the army not be able to influence them directly? Instead, Erdogan and his entourage urged us to take the streets and attack the soldiers. Is it reasonable, to call ordinary citizens, to ask them to protect the country from the army themselves? It is scary that they also knead the religion into politics, they say, they say, the revolution was made, including those who are against religion.

Not that I'm against Erdogan - I'm even afraid of him. The night was terrible, the sounds of technology and shooting could be heard in Istanbul, they wanted to scare us and they did it. I have no hope or expectations left: we were shown that we live in a country where the authorities can sacrifice our own soldiers, the police and ordinary citizens.

I would say that yesterday everything was quite usually, only in large cities - Ankara, Izmir and Istanbul - there were clashes. In other places in the country, nothing happened. Everything happened in three to four hours-this indicates that the coup was fake, planned by someone in a special scenario. Everyone who supports Erdogan took to the streets at night, but basically, we learned about everything from the news. They said that only some part of the army and equipment participated in the events.

It looks like a very bad game. We will also see how Erdogan will outplay everyone - change the political system and be able to extend his powers - for which everything was done.

It seems to me that this revolution is a theater scene, and speaking on it did not set a goal to seize control of the country. If the army elite would really act decisively, the fate of President Erdogan would be sad.

Perhaps this was generally an attempt to strengthen the government. But one way or another, what it will result in - can only be judged in dynamics. It’s good that the coup failed - Erdogan should leave the post in the same way as he received it. You need to adhere to the democratic path.

All night, supporters of the current regime fought on the street with the rebellious soldiers. People like me stayed at home and followed the news. There are many victims, but it is not clear from which side - civil or military. In general, it was not a coup from the very beginning. It was a government game in a revolution against themselves.
