Russian anti -doping laboratories deliberately hid the positive samples of athletes on the use of prohibited drugs. This follows from the report of the Independent Commission of the World Anti -Doping Agency (WADA) published today .

The document states that for manipulations with analyzes of athletes both in Moscow and in Sochi laboratories, the Ministry of Sports of Russia is responsible. At the same time, an active part in the substitution of tests, in particular during the Olympic Games in Sochi, took the FSB. In this regard, WADA called on to remove Russian athletes from all international competitions.

In November 2015, WADA announced fraud in the anti -doping laboratory in Moscow. The organization noted that the use of forbidden drugs in Russian sports has become a "culture supported by the state."

In June 2016, the International Association of athletics federations extended the disqualification of Russian athletes, advocating their removal from the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. This decision was supported by the International Olympic Committee.

As a result, only Daria Klina, who had trained in the United States, was allowed to the games in the games. More than 60 Russian athletes appealed to the International Arbitration Sports Court in Lausanne. The consideration of their claims is expected to begin on July 19.
