The authorities continue negotiations with armed oppositionists holding four police officers in the captured building

In Yerevan, on the Square of Freedom, activists gathered who require guarantees for the non -disclosure of force against the police building.

A group of activists of the opposition "constituent parliament", calling themselves "Sasun brave men" , holds four policemen hostages, demanding the liberates of one of their leaders Girard Sephilyan. He is under arrest on charges of illegal storage of weapons, but the associates consider it political prisoner.

According to the Armenian Radio Free Europe/Radio Freedom Radio , demonstrators, in addition, demand that all opposition officers detained over the past two days, as well as conduct a service investigation against police officers, who previously applied violence on Monday, prevented the procession of activists to the seized building .

The deputy chief of the police of Armenia Ulnan Poghosyan assured the audience that all the detainees would be released and an official investigation would be conducted.

He stated that negotiations with the invaders were ongoing, and 5 out of 9 police officers were already released.

At an armed attack on the police building in the Yerevan district of Erebuni, one police officer died on July 17 , four more were injured.
