KNB: Anti-terrorist operation in Alma-Ata completed

The anti-terrorist operation in Alma-Ata has been completed, the National Security Committee (KNB) of Kazakhstan reports. The highest - "red" installed in the city in the morning - the level of terrorist danger is changed to "yellow" - moderate.

Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan announced the detention of both suspects in the attack on the building of the Almalinsky district department of internal affairs, as a result of which five people were killed, according to the latest data. Seven wounded policemen remain in hospitals in serious condition.

On Monday morning, an unknown man tried to penetrate the Almalinsky District Department of Internal Affairs. He wounded a guide policeman and took possession of his machine gun. During the shootout with law enforcement officers, the attacker was injured and was detained.
