Despite the release of hostages, the Armenian police do not exclude "possible tragic consequences"

In Yerevan, the third hostage was released from the police building, captured by armed activists of the Constituent Parliament movement. This was announced by the National Security Safety Service (SNB) of Armenia.

The department at the same time noted that "such encouraging episodes do not guarantee the desired result and do not exclude possible tragic consequences." The SNB also stated that the participants in the attack "did not have an alternative to the speedy fulfillment of all the requirements of the authorities."

The attack on the building of the police department in Yerevan occurred on the morning of July 17. In a shootout, one policeman died, four more were injured.

According to the attackers, according to the latest data, there are three people, including the deputy chief of the police of Armenia Vartan Egiazaryan and the deputy chief of the police of Yerevan Valery Osipyan.

Members of the "Constituent Parliament" demand the release of the leader of the movement of Zhirair Sephilyan and several of his associates arrested last month, whom they consider political prisoners.

Armenia authorities exclude the fulfillment of these requirements, but continue negotiations with armed activists. Special forces near the captured building are in a state of military readiness, however, they have not yet received an order for the assault, as reported in the SNB.

The Constituent Parliament, among whose activists, are veterans of the war in Nagorno -Karabakh, is known for the organization of protest actions with the requirements of the resignation of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.
