"As for the removal of officials: we are always only guests at the Olympics. We can even go to the Olympic village only on a pass. For me, the main thing is that our team went to the Olympics. I need to understand: if it concerns me, I will accept it. This is not the main thing," Mutko said.

On Tuesday, the Commission of the International Football Federation on Ethics began verification regarding Mutko as a member of the executive committee of the organization. The reason was the charges of a report of an independent commission of the World Anti -Doping Agency under the leadership of Canadian lawyer Richard McLaren.

"The FIFA Ethics Investigation Chamber has taken note of the report of the report and carefully studied it. If the report contains violations of the FIFA Ethics Code, the Investigative Chamber will take appropriate measures and inform about this in accordance with the appropriate way," the commission said.
