On July 13, representatives of the prosecutor's office arrived. They took explanatory notes from the protest camp participants. On July 19, the protest camp participants were invited by the Deputy Mayor of Novy Urengoy, Andrei Voronov. At the meeting, he promised to look into their issue and asked residents to prepare documents. “It is worth noting that all departments of the city and region are already inundated with these documents, statements and appeals from protesting participants. After the Novurengoy residents left Voronov’s reception, the police drove up to them and began making arrests,” Sidorenkova said.
