The Arbitration Court of the Chelyabinsk Region fully satisfied the lawsuit of the interdistral IFTS No. 21 against the Interregional Public Fund for the Development of the Voice-Ural civil society. This was reported to the "Franes" by lawyer Andrei Lepakhin, representing the interests of the NGO.

The fund was obliged to pay 1 million 936 thousand rubles. Of this amount, 1.4 million rubles are debt for VAT, the rest is a penalty. The tax was credited for donations that Voice-Ural received in 2011-2012 for the election monitoring program.

The Interregional Fund received money from the Russian Organization of the Voice Democracy Fund, which, in turn, received a foreign grant. Later, by a court decision, a NPO paid 9 million rubles of income tax.

Representatives of the Voice-Ural notes that in 2013 the tax authorities checked their organization and did not present any requirements. Social activists associate the pressure from the IFTS with the conduct of independent election monitoring.

According to Lopekhin, the court decision will be appealed to a higher instance.

On July 27, 2015, the Ministry of Justice decided to include the Voice-Ural Interregional Public Fund in the Foreign Agents Register. "In accordance with the Federal Law" On Non -Profit Organizations "on 07/27/2015, the register of non -profit organizations performing the functions of a foreign agent includes the Interregional Public Fund for the Development of the Voice -Ural civil society," the department said.

Such a decision was made after verification by the Department of the Ministry of the Chelyabinsk Region, as a result of which "facts of compliance with the organization were revealed by the signs of a non -profit organization performing the functions of a foreign agent."
