The preliminary investigation in the second criminal case against Ukrainian citizen Stanislav Klykh, suspected of insulting a prosecutor during a court hearing in Chechnya, has been completed. The defense got acquainted with the materials of the case, reports . the "Caucasian Knot"
On February 20, the Supreme Court of Chechnya issued a decision on the transfer of materials for initiating a criminal case against Klykh for insulting a prosecutor's office employee. According to Klykh's lawyer, Dokka Itslayev, at the court hearing, Klykh "began to behave inappropriately, shouting insulting remarks at the prosecution."
The case of Stanislav Klykh and Nikolai Karpyuk has been considered by the Supreme Court of Chechnya since October 27, 2015. According to investigators, being members of the UNA-UNSO organization (the organization's activities are recognized as extremist in Russia), on December 31, 1994, they participated in the battles for Grozny, killing at least 30 Russian soldiers. The convicts denied participation in the conflict in Chechnya and claimed to have been tortured during the investigation. Karpyuk was sentenced to 22.5 years in prison, Klykh to 20 years.
Klykh's lawyer Marina Dubrovina notes that Klykh's behavior has changed a lot: “The preliminary investigation in the second criminal case was proceeding normally. But on July 12, when getting acquainted with the materials of the case, Stanislav began to behave inappropriately.
She was forced to submit a request for a second in-patient psychiatric examination.
