One of the street surveillance cameras recorded the moment of laying the bomb under the car of journalist Pavel Sheremet. It is reported by the "Mirror of the Week". The information has not yet received official confirmation.

The night before, the Ukrainian edition “Vesti” reported that a recording frame was discovered, on which a certain man whose face could not see, approaches the Sheremet car at a distance from which you can lay a bomb under it. However, the fact that the very moment of laying was filmed was not reported.

Meanwhile, an unnamed source in law enforcement agencies told the "mirror of the week" that the explosion was "accurately and competently" to defeat only the one who would sit in the driver's seat. “Explosives were laid down exactly so much that it was enough only for the driver and not struck anyone nearby,” the interlocutor of the publication noted.

Sheremet was killed early in the morning on Wednesday on the corner of the streets of Bogdan Khmelnitsky and Ivan Franco in the center of Kiev. The car exploded when the journalist, sitting behind the wheel, drove only a few tens of meters. Sheremet died for 1-2 minutes after the explosion.

The car belonged to the civilian wife Sheremet - the head of the Ukrainian Pravda Alena Prutula. The hostess herself was not in the car at the time of the explosion.

The condolences of the relatives and friends of Sheremet was expressed by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. He also announced the decision to provide the protection of Pritula and the chief of the Ukrainian Pravda Sevgil Musaeva-Borovik.

The preliminary versions of the incident investigated three. According to one version, the motive of the murder was the professional activity of Sheremet; According to the second, the crime was committed on the basis of hostile relations; The third version is based on the assumption of the Russian trace.

The prosecutor's office of Kyiv did not exclude that the purpose of the killer was not Sheremet, but Pritula.

The FBI connected to the investigation of the crime. Poroshenko made the initiative to attract the American special service.

Sheremet was born in 1971 in Minsk. Since 1996, he worked as the Sobrix of the Russian ORT television channel (current Channel One) in Belarus.

In July 1997, during the shooting of a report on the situation on the Belarusian-Lithuanian border, the Belarusian security forces detained Sheremeta on charges of illegally crossing the border, receiving money from foreign special services and illegal journalistic activities. The journalist was arrested and spent three months in jail. The court gave him two years conditionally with an annual test term.

In 2010, Sheremeta was deprived of Belarusian citizenship .

For the past five years, the journalist spent in Kyiv. At the same time, in 2013-2014 he was the host of the program "Right? Yes!" On public television of Russia. Subsequently, he began cooperation with “Ukrainian truth” and after some time became its executive director. He was also the host of the Ukrainian radio "Vesti".
