Russian Paralympians were suspected of substituting doping tests at the Sochi Olympics. This is stated in the statement of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). We are talking about 19 samples. The IPC received information about these samples from the author of the World Anti-Doping Agency report, Richard McLaren.
In addition, the Committee received the names of 35 athletes who were mentioned in the WADA report. As stated in the document, these athletes went through the state program of concealing positive samples - that is, the decision on whether to hide their test or not was made by the Ministry of Sports.
The IPC has stated that a decision on whether the Russian Paralympic Committee's membership in the IPC will be suspended will be made after 1 August.
