In Rostov-on-Don, human rights defenders were attacked by members of the NOD

NOD (National Liberation Movement) activists in Rostov-on-Don, about two hours ago, attacked several members of the Human Rights Council, Valentina Cherevatenko, chairman of the Women of the Don Union, journalist Kristina Gorelik, and Ksenia Gagay, an employee of the Public Verdict Foundation. This was reported on the page "Public verdict" in Facebook.

NOD activists began to persecute human rights activists who left the public library after a meeting of the regional council. When the latter entered the cafe “8 grains” located in the city center, five members of the NOD went to the same place, where they began to insult members of the HRC and Valentina Cherevatenko, and also filmed. After one of the members of the HRC made an insulting remark, a fight ensued. After that, the attackers left the cafe. Human rights activists called the police, but they never arrived.

At the moment, everything is fine with human rights activists, they are heading to the airport.

A day earlier, in Novocherkassk, human rights activists were also attacked by representatives of the NOD and Cossacks. As Ksenia Gagai wrote on Facebook, the Cossacks called human rights activists agents, Americans, “who send money for the war in Ukraine.” One of them promised Gagai, who was filming, that he would bury her, threatened her with a whip.
