The head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, once again postponed the holding of local elections in the Republic. Now they have been postponed from July 24 to November 6. The corresponding decree of Zakharchenko, dated Friday, is published on the official website of the DPR.

The reason for the transfer of elections in the document is not explained. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, the DPR24 websitewas transmitted with reference to the press service of Zakharchenko that such a decision will be made due to the "failure to fulfill Kiev Minsk agreements." “We hope that the Western partners of Kyiv will force him to adopt a law on elections this year, which will be agreed with us,” the press service said.

However, then it was argued that the new date of the elections will be on October 30, and not on November 6.

Meanwhile, in the LPR, where local elections are also assigned to the 24th number, their transfer has not yet been reported.

At the same time, the organization of primaries is discussed in both "republics".

Holding local elections in the DPR and LPR is one of the most important conditions of the Minsk agreements. At the same time, on October 2, 2015, French President Francois Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel announced according to the results of the Norman Four meeting that these elections should be held according to Ukrainian laws and militants should agree on their holding with Kiev.

In mid -September, the DPR and LPR announced their intention to conduct voting before the end of autumn according to their own "laws". However, on October 6, militants reported that they were postponing elections to hold them in accordance with Ukrainian law. It was claimed that such a decision was made after studying recommendations following the results of the Norman Four summit in Paris and consultations with representatives of the OSCE and Russia. In the DPR, the elections were scheduled for April 20, 2016, in the LPR - on February 21.
