All hostages were released in Yerevan

The occupiers of the police station in Yerevan released Police Major General Vardan Yeghiazaryan and Colonel Valery Osipyan, Interfax reports, citing a source in the Armenian law enforcement agencies.

Information about the release of the last two hostages is also confirmed by the Armenian edition Tert.am.

Thus, the invaders released all the people who had been held at the police station since July 17. Earlier it was reported that the hostages would be released only after the authorities set up an independent press center.

• The seizure of the building of the police department in Yerevan took place on July 17. One person died, four were injured. The invaders demanded the removal of the country's authorities and the creation of a transitional government, as well as the release of the opposition.
