Tetrahydrocannabinol was found in the water supply of an American city

Authorities in the city of Hugo, Colorado, have advised local residents to refrain from using tap water due to THC content.

As it turned out during the check, the psychoactive substance contained in marijuana got into the water supply through one of the wells that supplies the city with water. The well was isolated. It has traces of break-in and illegal entry.

There were no reports of tetrahydrocannabinol poisoning in Hugo, home to about 700 people. How high the concentration of the psychoactive substance was was not reported. All traces of water pollution are expected to disappear after the weekend. There is no information about exactly how tetrahydrocannabinol got into the water.

"What a great way for our city to be on the news," said former Hugo Mayor Patsy Smith, who showered and drank coffee as usual on Friday and felt completely fine.
