On Saturday, July 23, journalist Pavel Sheremet was buried in Minsk.
Sheremet was buried at the Northern Cemetery near Minsk next to his father's grave. Before the funeral in the Church of All Saints in the capital of Belarus, a farewell ceremony was held for the journalist.
The coffin with the body of a journalist from Kyiv to Minsk was accompanied by the press secretary of the President of Ukraine Svyatoslav Tsegolko, deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Mustafa Nayem, Serhiy Leshchenko and a group of Ukrainian journalists. Many wreaths were delivered to the place of farewell, including from the President of Ukraine, relatives of Boris Nemtsov, a number of mass media - Ukrainian and not only.
