The police explained the cancellation of the Witchhouse party as “suicide propaganda”

On July 23, the Moscow police canceled the nighthouse party R17 on the day of the R17, citing the fact that "music in this direction promotes suicide." This was reported by the publication "Yod".

As the organizers wrote on the VKontakte social network, police officers came to the club and demanded to cancel the event, and later they received an additional call from the capital's department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“We were told that in the event of a party, a bus with employees would simply arrive and they would cover all of us,” the event group on the social network reports, “and they also added that all subsequent events need to be coordinated with them and that they will already decide which musicians we will have play and which not. (Just think, the authorities will draw up lineups for Witch-house parties!) Together with the art director of the club, we fought to the last, but unfortunately, any of our proposals for cooperation with Petrovka was refused, we said that we were ready to come right now and that’s all agree and change what you need, but again, the refusal. We simply could not set you up and hold the event.”
